We are delighted to announce that we are now live with services under the new Provider Framework for the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme.

Since contract award in April 2019 ICS Health & Wellbeing have been working closely with our digital partner Oviva and 110 CCGs to mobilise 10 new STP contracts across:

  • Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon & Wiltshire
  • Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes
  • Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & West Berkshire
  • Gloucestershire
  • Greater Manchester
  • Hertfordshire & West Essex
  • Kent & Medway
  • North Central London
  • Surrey Heartlands
  • Sussex & East Surrey

Across these new sites we plan to support over 113,000 people to prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes, this is in addition to the 114,000 people we aim to see through our original service areas across:

  • Barnet & Enfield
  • Berkshire
  • Cambridge & Peterborough
  • Camden, Islington & Haringey
  • Coventry & Warwickshire
  • Derbyshire
  • Herefordshire & Worcestershire
  • Hertfordshire & West Essex
  • Humber, Coast & Vale
  • Lincolnshire
  • Mid & South Essex
  • Norfolk & Waveney
  • North East London
  • North West London
  • Sheffield
  • South East and South West London
  • South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw
  • Suffolk & North East Essex

As part of the new framework, we have developed new and fresh content which includes support with nutrition, physical activity and behaviour change. We are pleased to offer five supporting handbooks throughout the programme, including a recipe book with delicious recipes from our team and previous service users. We have also recently launched our very own app to support service users with tracking goals, weight, appointment times and accessing useful resources to help them along their journey.

We’re excited to start delivering our new and improved programme, and to see results amongst our service users. We will continue to develop and progress the programme based on feedback, new research and technology.
