Smoking Cessation

Smokers see their GP a third more often than non-smokers, and smoking is linked to nearly half-a-million hospital admissions each year.

We are proactive in our efforts to empower the first smokefree generation, and to achieve this we deliver clinically-proven smoking-cessation programmes which use a combination of behaviour change techniques, Nicotine Replacement Therapy and medication to help people to quit smoking using a method of support which works for them.

We provide specialist programmes with tailored content and delivery methods for pregnant women, young people, manual and routine workers, and patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) and mental health issues.

Smoking cessation interventions

Our smoking cessation programme is delivered using the expertise of our delivery partners Discover Momenta. Our unique programme offers behavioural support, supplemented by pharmaceutical aids, that are evidence-based and follow NICE guidelines. Our support can range from Brief Intervention to more specialist support including Pregnancy and Post-Partum and Mental Health Speciality and can be delivered online or face-to-face through the provision of one-to-ones, structured groups and community-based drop-ins.

Awareness raising and prevention

We have experience of delivering stop smoking and tobacco related awareness campaigns and prevention workshops to adults and young people.
